I offer customized coaching to individuals or small groups, because it is near and dear to my heart. I absolutely love seeing people get excited when I show them how to research their ancestors, interpret documents and find something amazing like the name of their ancestor that immigrated to the United States on a ship manifest. Documents like these are so thrilling to find that I framed my great-grandmother’s ship manifest and the picture of the ship she arrived on at Ellis Island, and they are both hanging in my office. They are priceless!
I offer family research coaching lessons in person or via Zoom. With Zoom, I can share my computer screen with you, and you can share your computer screen with me. This allows me to provide training to clients all over the United States or even to Europeans wanting to learn how to research in the United States.
I will customize my training to your level of research experience. If you are just getting started in your family research and don’t know how to start or where to begin, I would really enjoy helping you get your family tree started.
I will teach you how to use and navigate several powerful genealogy search sites, and introduce you to the abundance of other research resources available online and off.

DNA CONSULTING
If you are interested in having your DNA tested and are unsure which DNA test may be the best one for you to take, and you are not certain which company to use to analyze your DNA then I can help you with a DNA consultation. We can discuss your testing options as well as the factors to consider when choosing a company to analyze your DNA. Genetic genealogy may be helpful in so many different ways. However, it is important to remember that documented traditional genealogy research is still necessary to confirm and verify any predicted DNA matches. Your DNA results may help provide your ethnicity and also make predicted matches to other possible family members, which may help fill in some missing details about your ancestors.
